your ithica 410 was made from 1963-1978 and current book values range between 125 vg- 225 like new ..In my part of the woods there a great youth gun and i have one for my grandson and he really likes it,,dealers don't usually pay more than 75-125 for them unless there really nice ,, and even then not much more.

grew up in a family of 4 boys dad let us carry a 410 single stevens at eight years of age. you got 5 shells and we would head for the 25 acres of bush on our farm. if you didn't bring a cottontail or partrigde home he stated you won't hunting just playing no gun for 2 weeks. not only did it make better hunters but taught us to enjoy hunting.

Your Dad reminds me of my own groing up. Me and my brothers all wanted to hunt with, and target shoot with my dads marlin LR semi auto(it sure was a pretty gun)...But we were only allowed to use an old remington 514 22LR singleshot until we were able to hit the target consistently. We all know that made us better marksmen as well. In fact they use to joke me and call me Barney Fife (form Andy Griffeth show) because I had to carry my bullet in my pocket untill I was pretty much in position to take a shot.(I was 8yrs old). It's funny , by the time any of us were deamed worthy to carry that fancy marlin... I didn't really matter that much.Ha Ha In fact I still prefer that old single shot to this day. Thanks for the reply Suitty, that was nice little story that took me back to some realy great times. Now that I am raising my own I was thinking that an old singleshot 410 just might be the perfect training gun for my boy.

noone can realy tell you because the age if its a antq its worth more than what they think i seen soom up to 1000-1500 it just depends on how much you like old guns and if your a colletour some times it good to show and not shoot it a part of time and if you have a newer one it aint the some of the older ones .
