I have a Model 61 in very good condition serial number is 30070. It is about 45 years old and in its life time probably had about 4 or 5 boxes of Long rifle rounds shot through it. It is rifled with a round barrel It has minor dings on stock but bluing is pristine and it has been kept clean and oiled. When was it manufactured? And what is its approximate worth?

In very good condition I would estimate in the 7-800.- range. (I'm assuming 22lr, there are some rare variations) I guess maybe because of the quantity made there just seems to be a whole heck of a lot of these, even very old ones, found in near pristine condition. I occasionally see people asking quite a bit more but I see more that are mint for around the 1,000 range.

I highlu reccomend starting a new post for your rifle sale and post some photos with it. If you want I can give you an assesment of the price.
