I'm looking for a winchester model 94 30-30. Is there a significant difference in accuracy between the trapper and the ranger?

Gandoff,

I assume that you are referring to the late model 94 rifles that have Issue of Comemmorative names associated with them. I will admit that I am not familiar with the variations that may exist between these two versions you name. Unless there is a significant barrel length difference or sight configuration I would expect that the two rifles would shoot very much alike.

Most of my rifles are greater than a hundred years old and they are very accurate. 2 inch groups from a sitting position at a hundred yards are very doable. I shot the target below this past weekend with a Model 1873 rifle in .44-40 caliber that was made in 1888. There were ten rounds fired. Multiple hole in hole hits.
