I JUST PURCHASED A WARD WESTERN FIELD 22 RIFLE AT AN ESTATE SALE. MODEL 04M 489B. COULD SOME ONE TELL ME APPROX. YEAR IT WAS MADE AND APPROX. VALUE. I WOULD RATE THIS GUN AN 8 ON A SCALE OF 1 TO 10.

I HAVE A WARDS WESTERN FIELD MODEL 59A SEMI AUTO 22 AND THIS RIFLE WAS BOUGHT NEW FOR ME ON MY 15 TH. BIRTHDAY AND I AM 72 YEARS OLD NOW .BESIDES A FEW SCRATCHES ON THE STOCK IT IS STILL LIKE NEW AND SHOOTS GREAT,BUT MONEY WISE I DONT THINK IT IS WORTH THAT MUCH AND THERE WAS A LOT OF THEM MADE.MY DAD PAID $18.00 FOR IT NEW 1952OUT OF A WESTERN TIRE STORE THAT WAS GOING OUT OF BUS.

Probably worth anywhere from $150-$200.00 on average. Could be worth a bit more or a bit less depending on condition and how bad somebody wants it.
