Hello, I just recently inhereted a Winchester 94-30-30 from my fiances late father. It looks to be in great condition, no rust or visible damage. No modifications or extra holes. Im looking to find the year of "birth" and its potential value. The serial number is 3280889. Thanks.

Steve,

The rifle dates to 1969. Winchester changed it manufactoring process after 1964 and as a result the rifles are typically viewed as being inferior to the pre-64 guns. Thus the resale value is decreased. A typical rifle from your time period is probably in the $300 to $450 range. The fact that you describe it as great condition and no extra hole is a plus for sure.

God luck
