My grandfather just died and left me a Remington 16 ga that has an adjustable choke on the end that twists to any type of pattern you want to shoot. It has engraving in the side of the gun of a pheasent it's in great condition. Wondering how old and what model it is. And the value. Kenny in Birmingham Al

hello ,,from your description it sounds like an old md 11 semi with the game scene you mentioned ,,is it a semi auto or a pump gun? the adjustable chokes were commonly called poly chokes ,,and it was a common practice during the 50 early 60 before the introduction of screw in chokes to have these installed on older fixed choke guns ,,your shotgun may have the choke still marked on the barrel like mod. or full ,,some companys offered the poly choke as a special order option,,but most were installed afterwords..

,,i really can't give ya a value before i know if it's a semi or a pump model and if ya can look for a model number or name either on the barrel or the receiver somewhere,,
