What is the model number of this rifle. the serial number 841XXX. I cannot find any other markings on it.

look on the barrel or the rear tang behind the hammer for a model number ,,if it is a store brand like sears or ted williams ,,westernfeild then it may have a long nomber sometimes staorting with 101.xxx or something like that,,i gotta be marked somewhere or something has been either ground off of the barrel was changed at sometime,,you serial number could be anything winchester produced in a lever gun..just need more info..

Okay, it has taken me awhile but I finally found the Model number of my lever action Winchester rifle. The model is 1892 and the serial # is 841662, according to somewebsites it was manufactured in 1917.

Any idea what it is worth?
