i have colt large caliber blackpowder revolver i think its a army model patent date sept 10th 1853 it has other markings on cylinder ser#71351 on guard and butt smoother in apperance than navy models. as found cond. but everything still works worth?????

hello,,heres a site that may help ya with an id http://www.coltparts.com/pt_60army.html ,, they have many pics of parts and guns to help ya with a possible id,,once you know what ya have go here and you can find the serial number year,, http://proofhouse.com/colt/index.html then we can proably give you some idea of the value after we know a little more than we do now ,,also clear pics of the gun would help to determine the value and give us an idea of what you concider as found condition and what a collector would call the condition,,some old colts are very valuable but if they are dug up models ther a curio to a collectors and maybe museaums would displey them as such the collector intrest would be low ,,(value wise)
