I have an excellent model 19ll us government 45.
Serial is 64... (1913)
Engraved with General officers name. Wife's photo under grip. Documented history WWI in France and awarded Citation Star by both Commanding Officer and General pershing in person.
Long detailed history of unit. Mexican Frontier, WWI
France, WWII, retired a General staff officer in Washington D.C. Also have holster dated 1914, ammo
clip pouch (two clip) dated 1911 with designation of barracks.
This weapon is in absolutely excellent condition. All original.

wow sounds like a true 1911 collectors dream gun,,with the provanance you have with it i don't blame you for not wanting tire kickers making offers on it ,,i'd say no offers under 5000 would be reasonable! very very nice.. especially with the papers you have to go with it!!just my 2 cents worth on your pistol
