John,

Can you tell me a bit more than just good condition. A good rifle will be very different to lots of people. Check this link to see what I did for Model 1894 rifles. The same sort of comparison for 1895's apply. If you can give me more info I'll be able to give you a much more accurate assessment. http://www.gunvaluesboard.com/why-i-need-photos- 254864.html#25490

Thanks.
Looking forward to more info

John,

Congratulations on having a very fine looking rifle. The photo REALLY helped! The bluing is quite nice and the wood looks very good also. Maybe the original varnish is mostly gone from the fore end but can't tell for sure. The sight is a Lyman 21 Receiver sight and were quite popular on this model rifle. The rifle is in a "Takedown" configuration. Therefore the barrel and fore end can be removed from the receiver for easier storage and transportation.I love the fact that it has a crescent butt stock instead of a shotgun butt. Gives it much better lines personally. The only detraction might be the sling swivels if they are not factury original to the rifle. Unless the blue on the receiver on the opposite side is poor I would venture your rifle is in the $3500 to $4500 range!! Hot dang!

If you are looking to sell it. I hope not. But if you are I know collectors who specialize in this model and would be glad to pass on some info to them on your behalf. Let me know.

Congrats
