The Model 100 was introduced in about 1960, and discontinued in early 1975, after about a quarter of a million rifles were produced. As such, it’s not a particularly rare rifle, and like most Winchesters of the period, the “pre-’64” models fetch a higher premium than the later ones do (any Model 100 serial# lower than 92016 is pre-1964 manufacture).

Not that it matters. if It looked beautiful, had a clean, shiny bore and only a little bluing wear at the muzzle, anyway—a fine-looking semi-auto hunting rifle for less than $400 is generally A Good Thing to get.
