Hello,

Which or what "special edition" is it?

The U.S. Repeating Arms Company manufactured your Model 94AE, but they most likely did not gold-plate it. Typically, that type of work was done by a third party under commission by the entity that wanted the special edition guns.

Special edition and Limited edition Model 94s are very difficult to but a price tag on due to the small number of them that were made, and that are sold on the open market.

David,

I am now more confused than before. In your initial post you stated that it is a "Winchester Model 94ae", and now you say it is a "model 1892 100th anniversary".

What exactly do you have, and how is it marked? I highly recommend that you post several clear close-up pictures of the gun.

No, sorry, it's not the 1892. I needed to go look closer at it. I'll get some pictures up soon
