I have a Winchester model 94, serial no. 960116. I would like to know what year it was manfactured and what it sold for then and what it is worth today?

your winchester was made in 1925 and current value for it would be between 450 fair-800+ vg-exc,,condition means value with old winchesters and original finishes on wood and metal=$$$ when collectors look at them,,refinished examples or sling swivels or aftermarket sites or scopes detract from the value to a collector..as much as half the unaltered originals ..

Ray,
Can you give up a bit, or a lot, more info? Is it a rifle or saddle ring carbine configuration? What is the caliber? Standard crescent butt if a rifle or shotgun butt. Is the wood checkered? Does it have a pistol grip stock? And most importantly can you describe the condition or post some good photos. Taken outside without flash.
There could be items from the questions which will make the rifle more or less valuable and more or less sellable. Condition is number one.
Looking forward to more info

I have a 1925 catalog at the house but will not be there till Monday. I am not sure it includes a price list but I will check. My off the top of the head is that the rifle probably sold for under $40. About 20 years earlier they were Right at $18 give or take a palm full of quarters!!
But let me check to be sure.
