hello my refrence book says the commanche carbine was issued in 1974,,and was a canadian issue 11,500 were issued and the issue price was 230,,my 2009 book say value is 800 these days ,,i would say with the low serial number it should be around 1000 in my opinion,,,for a place to check or mabey sell it try gunsamerica.com list it for 1000 and see if ya get hits ..sounds like a nice winchester ..
,,,but heres some points to think about,,commemoritive rifles are a made to be collectable and theres a smaller following than with original vintage rifles ,,although there cool looking and sometimes very ornate there slow movers because there made to display and most people these days buy guns to shoot,,but i'll proably get flack from special run collectors.. i think there just novelties that do raise in value but might as well be made outa plastic so they couldn't be fired .. and in the case of yours in almost 35 years it's increased in value but it isn't sold yet either..just my opinion mind ya..on commemoratives rifles..and i'm not knocking these rifles but just don't think there worth the money to sit in a gun cabinet..
