I have a Winchester Model 70 in 30-06 serial #91919. I was told it was made in 1946 with a combonation of pre and post war parts. Is that true? Although I would NEVER sell it, what is it worth. In my estimation it is good to fair condition.

hello..the serial number puts your winchester md 70 as made in 1948 and i'd guess that it may have pre war parts but i wouldn't think so being made in 1948 ,,but i'm not a md 70 collector so anything might be possible ,,value wise i'd say it should bring 1000-1200+ to a md 70 collector or a good winchester auction,,and possibly more if the finishes are original and hasn't been altered in any way..
