i have a winchester model 63 made in 1953

the gun was made in 1953 according to the serial number, the gun is in excellent condition, but is has been nickel plated sometime in the past, what would the gun be worth ?

the model 63 was made from 1933-1958 and for a 20" barrel book values are between 600 good -1400 excellent,,for the 23 " barrel model values are between 600-1300,,add 20% premium for a grooved top receiver ,,yours being plated may go either way on the spectrum,,it may have been something done as a special edition or just someones idea of dressing it up ,,this is a very high grade semi auto and some beleive it to be the best semi auto 22 ever produced..
