I have a winchester model 1890 hexagon barrel 22 short rifle ? Could someone help me identify this gun ,year and value? Thanks Todd

Hey Todd,

I have three of that model rifle in different .22 calibers. I will need the serial number from the rifle to figure the year of manufacture. It will be located as shown in the photo. Bottom of the receiver. a couple inches in front of the trigger. Then I will need a more detailed description of the condition. How much finish, what does the wood look like etc. If you register you can send photos which are a big help. One other thing. It is an octagonal barrel. 8 sides to it not 6.

hello ,,your 3rd model 1890 winchester was made in 1916 and values for it would be 800good,,1200 vg and around 2000 if original and in exc condition for the standard grade model,,these prices would be to a collector or at a good auction with other collectable winchesters ,,dealers would proably offer you around 300-400 just because there a limited amount of collectors who will pay the preimiums and he may have to sit on it untill one comes in ..
