I have a Winchester 30-06 model 70,pre 1964. serial # 248942. How can I find the manufacture date and approx. value?

your winchester was made in 1953 and value would be 800-1000+ depending how a collector veiws the condition ,,possibly more if it's extra clean,, here a link for veiwing serial numbers , https://store.bluebookinc.com/info/PDF/Firearm/ Serialize.pdf
