I have a Winchester 25 W.C.F serial Number 67400, I can't seem to find out very much about this gun, I was trying to figure out if it had it's own model number and how much I should insure it for.The Barrel is 27" long, 16 1/2" being round and the rest Octogon.

Guest,

If you would register and send in a photo or two this would be a piece of cake. My guess is that it is a Model 1892. They were the last lever action Winchester chambered for that round. If I am right that serial number puts it's manufacture in 1894. Your description of the barrel makes it what is call half round and it was a special order item. It might also have a few other. Is the stock a pistol grip and maybe checkered. The Model designation is typically ver yeasy to find on the top tang right behind the hammer. If you can't see it that tells me the rifle may have a peep sight on it. Let me know if any of this sounds right. It should look like the photo if it is. Except it does not have a half round barrel
