hello,,your mauser was made in germany ,,it sounds like a model 1895 and these were a contract mauser that germany made and then exported to other countries as a contract for rifles ,,is there a crest or coat of arms marked over the chamber on the receiver ring?if so this will tell the country that it was made for ,,most of these were made for chili but there were many other variants ,,1895 mauseres will typically bring in the 200-350 range if all original with original military lenght stocks and matching serial numbers on all metal parts that have numbers on them ,,many of these have been imported in the past 10-15 years and imported rifles will have a importers stamp near the end of the barrel ,,this mark can detract the value a little to a collector and they look for non-import stamped rifles when possible
,,many military mausers have been sporterized thruout the years and original configuration matching numbers examples are getting very hard to find and will demand the preimum values to collectors,, your rifle if an 1895 model should be chambered for the 7 mm mauser cartridge and ammo is still available for these if thats the caliber ,,if your not sure then please have a knowledgable gunsmith check the rifle out before you attempt to fire any ammo in it ,,!
