I have a "unique" model 17 hammerless with the nazi stamp on the frame and the barrel. I have one magazine and the holster, marked "Berlin 1940". Any idea what it might be worth?

Few hundred dollars. Holster adds. It was replaced by the Kriegsmodell. Preceded by the model 16 (rare).

Depends on condition. Certainly worth more than a couple of hundred dollars. Obviously last poster wanted to buy it. Only 54000 were made duing occupied France. Do not come up often, and condition would majorly affect price.

Might be best if you do your homework before you predict values or ascribe motives to other people. The "last poster," being me, in fact has no interest in the pistol and if he did would just buy one outright. This one didn't find a buyer at $275:
http://www.auctionarms.com/search/displayitem.cfm? itemnum=9573221&oh=216543

I didn't say "a couple of hundred" - I said "a few hundred." Reading is fundamental. The pistol in the link didn't get $275. So it would appear one of us isn't full of it.

I'm not interested in the pistol. I have a Unique Model 16 but only due to an uncle bringing it back from the war.

As far as doing "homework", if you looked closely at the pictures that you linked and incorrectly referred to, you would see that the pistol is not nazi marked as the original poster quoted. This pistol was not manufactured for use by the germans but was probably sent to the Kingdom of Morocco (المملكة المغربية‎ Al-Mamlakah al-Maghribīyyah) to arm the Moroccan National Police Force and Royal Military Police Force. These were marked on the right side tang of the frame behind the grip with a Crescent over a Pole sometimes referred to as the Palm Tree by some collectors.

As far as being full of it, I never said that. With that being said, one of us was wrong, and it is you. I just did say that.

You said I was after the pistol - which was a lie.

Another: http://www.dallasguns.com/index.asp?type=1

$350. A few hundred.

With holster. So about right. RIA is selling a 5fer with one: http://www.rockislandauction.com/view_item.aspx? aid=1014&iid=244436

Estimate $900-$1000. For 5 pistols with an Unique being one.

So a few hundred. Holster adds. I don't think I was far off. Not the rare Luger pricing Bocephus seems to think it should get.

Still not interested in it.

According to Merriam-Webster.com:

Main Entry: "few"
Function: adjective
Date: before 12th century
1 : consisting of or amounting to only a small number <5madfarmers has made few correct valuations of guns>
2 : at least some but indeterminately small in number <5madfarmers likes to quote a few auctions that have not yet been completed>

The rare Luger?(whatever that may be) Why? Are you tring to get that for a "few" hundred dollars as well? (with holster).

According to Merriam-Webster.com:

Main Entry: in-cor-rect
Function:adjective
Date: 15th century
2a: faulty. 2b: wrong <Bocephus claims a quoted a few auctions that have not completed when in fact the initial link auction ended on the morning of the 23rd. The dallasgun link isn't an auction - it's a sale. Have at it. flynscot linked to a gun which sold.>

Main Entry: liar
Function: adjective
Date: 15th century
:a person who tells lies.
: Bocephus <"Obviously last poster wanted to buy it">

The gun flynscot linked to sold for $425 - with holster. "Few hundred dollars. Holster adds."

Which makes my estimate about right. Not a "couple of hundred" - "few hundred."

What an original retort. I have only seen a "few" of them.

I am sure that you can get in on the 32nd printing of Blue Book of Gun Values. The real collectors need someone with as much experience (and I use that term very loosely)as you have to drastically devalue the collectible firearms out there so that we can buy them cheap. Especially the elusive Rare Luger (with holster of course).

Keep on guessing!

flynscot provided a link to a completed auction. Deal with it.

I'm done with you. Trolls are a dime a dozen.
