This is a low 3 digit serial number Hawkeye Sturm-Ruger in .256 Magnum. This is a necked down .357 magnum cartridge and a .25 caliber bullet. I have had this pistol for over 40 years and have only shot it once. I had a full box of ammo for it, but in various moves the ammunition has gotten lost. The pistol has very minimal bluing wear at the muzzle. The black is still complete in the Hawk. The Sturm-Ruger is probably 98%. The mounted Weaver scope is the original and is still effective. I have a leather scabbard or leather sleeve that the pistol has been in from the beginning. It is not a holster, but more of a full length flexible leather scabbard.
