I have a sears robbuck mod.3T cal. 22 S.L or L.R. automatic. What year was it made and how much is it worth?
I bought one back in the late '60s for about $90.
I believe these rifles where made for Sears by Winchester, as they sold one at the time that was almost identical. I frequent gun shows and haven't seen but one besides my own. I suspect they have little collector value and shooter interest, as the tubular magazine is cumbersome to load. The Ruger 10-22 put my Model 3T into retirement years ago.
I would guess these rifles would sell today for between $100-150 for a good clean one.
what is it worth today
hello,,your sears model 3t is basically a winchester model 190 with sears tags on ,,value for it would be low and i'd say around 125-135 if working and in good condition,,the winchester model was made from 1967-1980 so i would say thats pretty close ,,sears labeled models of most rifles will not sell as high as the parent rifles just because the name isn't winchester stamped on it ,,dealers would proably offer ya around 60-75 bucks for it if they wanted it,,even the 190 winchester's are slow movers in gunshops these days ,,they were just a plain jane 22 rifle that worked good with proper ammo..
Dude i have the same kind of gun they are extremely accurate
made approx 1950 and the worth depends on the shape.
The rifle was made by marlin in late 50s for sears and roebuck. model 3t 273.2390

I just came acrossed one today at my work. I work for a collect and storage warehouse. Is there any one here interested? <email>
My dad mentioned he has this particular rifle. Sears 3T 22 cal that shoots short, long, and long rifle rounds. Said the ID number was 273.2390. I asked him to double check the number.
You mentioned the 273.2390 was made by Marlin. Read that the 273.2890 was made by Winchester (I'm guessing a little later on).
Where did you get your prices from? My dad said his is brand new - never been fired. He even has the original cash register receipt ($38!) that came with it.
Thanks for any info you may have.

I HAVE A 3T 22 SEMI AUTO I HAD MY GUN SMITH CLEAN ALL THE WORKING PARTS IT SHOOTS LIKE BRAND NEW I THINK IT COULD BE JCHIGGENS IT HAS CHECKERED STOCK AND FORE ARM WITH GOLD MADILLION BOTTOM OF GRIP I HAD APPRAISED AT 350 TO 400 DOLLARS CLASSED AS VERY GOOD CONDITION--- E.B.
I bought that same model rifle at a gun show in N.E. Ohio about 2 years ago for $80. I took it deer/squirrel hunting last year and it jammed so I never actually fired it yet. I was online looking for firewood and saw a person willing to barter or trade cherry firewood for firearms. What would be a fair trade? Visually it is in good condition.
As long as both parties are happy, it's a good trade.
Big Curt: Of all the posts I found yours to be dead on. I do have one in great shape but have no intention of selling it. I could not find who it was made by til I read your post. Then I had somewhere to start to try and find the info I was looking for. You are dead on. Thanks for some good information.
I have a ted williams t3 22 rifle new in box comes with sears scope asking 400.00
