hello,,the 760's these days are bringing in the 300-450 range in my part of the country ,,depending on the condition ,,
it can be deted with the date code located on the left side of the barrel where it meets the receiver heres a link to dating it ,,just scroll down th the remington section and use the dating section the 760 was made from 1952-1980 so your date code should be in those years ,,

hello,,first off your better asking your question in a new post because alot of our guys will think the post has already been answered ,,that said the 270 +30-06 are the 2 most common calibers found in the 760 line so there gonna be the cheapest to find ,,i see them quite often at the shows in the 275-400 range with the higher priced ones being slow movers in the common calibers ,,average price in my aera is around the 300-325 mark,,dealers might offer ya around 200 + or - depending on condition in cash or trade,,scopes don't usually increase the value on any rifle because the person buying the rifle is usually "buying the rifle" NOT THE SCOPE!

I have a 1952 760 in .35 Rem. Is that a less common caliber for this gun? Just picked it up.

You have one of the first ones then, the model 760 was introduced in 1952. I have no idea if the .35 was more or less common, but it was one of the standard calibers they manufactired.

Hi there,

I have 3, 300 savages. One was my grandfathers who used it at our deer camp North of Parry Sound near Woods Road. He shot a moose and a deer with the gun at the same time... I won't sell his gun, but I am going to sell the other 2.

They are in very good condition and I am asking 400 each. I will be listing them on the board at the Cambridge Sportsman's Club, and may put them in the auction in Paris, if they don't sell before.

Please let me know if you are interested.

Regards.
