I have a Remington 700, 30-6 Rifle with a Simmons scope and I am trying to find an approximate value of this rifle. It is in good condition. What would be a fair price to ask for the gun?
What version of model 700 is it; ADL, BDL, SPS, etc ? There are dozens of variations on the model 700.
While it would probably not make a big difference in value, it would also help to know what model of Simmons and magnification scope it is.
The rifle has "DC" and "REP" on it and I have no idea if either of these is the version you mentioned. The S/N is B6517984. I haven't checked the Simmons scope yet for the model and magnifiction.
If it has no external floorplate - which is right in front of the trigger guard, swings down, and can be used to load or unload the rifle it is an ADL.
If it has the swing down external floorplate it could be one of many variants of the 700 - but not an ADL.
Prices for a used ADL are about $325 - $425
Prices for a used BDL are about $375 - $475
If you contact Remington Customer Service with the serial number they can tell you exactly what version/variant you have.

Thanks for the information. I called Remington and the rifle is a 700 - ADL, manufactured in 1984.
My previous prices for a used ADL of $325 - $425 are right then. The Simmons scope, depending on rings and bases could add another $50 - $100 to the value.
Overall, most used 700 ADL's in average condition with a basic Simmons scope mounted on them are selling (retail sticker) for about $375 - $475
Thanks for all the information and the gun values. I really do appreciate your time and knowledge.
