I have a remington 16 ga shotgun that my dad had and I am 63. It is a single shot center fire with the cocking lever on the left side. It has the break open lever in the center where the hammer would be on some guns. It has a 30" barrel. I can't find a model, but It has a pat # that is hard to read. Looks like PAT 009 80 1894 or could be 00T or 00B. The 1894 could be 1884. It is in fair condition, but very useable. I would like to know the age and approximate value.
Thanks, Terry.

hello ,,you have a model 1893 single shot No9 shotgun ,,and it's a rare bird in the remington line ,,most old singles from this era will bring around 100-125 but this old timer will bring 250 fair -600 good to a remington collector or at a good antique gun auction..but as with any old gun from the time frame condition and originality mean +$$$ refinished or altered guns mean -$$$,,
