NOT SURE WHAT THE D ON THE BUTT PLATE WOULD STAND FOR. BUT I HAVE THE EXACT SAME GUN BOLT ACTION 22 SHORT,LONG,AND LONG RIFLE. I DID THE RESEARCH ON THE WEB AND I FOUND OUT THAT IT WAS MADE BY SAVAGE/STEVEN'S FROM 1930/1932 AND DISTRIB FOR MONTGOMERY WARD'S DEPT STORE. THE STEVEN'S CRACKSHOT MODEL 29 OR 29A IS THE SAME GUN SO CHECK A GUN BOOK UNDER STEVEN'S AND IT WILL GIVE U APPROX VALUE. A FRIEND GAVE ME MINE DURING LAST DEER SEASON HE GOT IT FROM A OLD MAN THEN HE GAVE IT TO ME. ONLY THING ON MINE IS A SMALL CRACK ON FOREARM BUT DUE TO AGE THAT'S NOT GONNA HURT IT ONLY THING WAS CHANGED ON MINE WAS THE TRIGGER GUARD BUT NO ONE WOULD KNOW THAT IF U DID NOT SHOW THEM. THE VALUE DOESN'T MEAN MUCH TO ME IT HAS MORE OF A CETIMENTAL VALUE BEING A GOOD FRIEND GAVE IT TO ME I WOULD NOT EVER PART WITH IT NO MATTER WHAT KIND OF MONEY SOMEONE OFFERED ME. I WILL NEVER SHOOT THIS GUN IT IS USED MORE AS A SHOW PIECE TO SHOW FRIEND'S BECAUSE IT IS SOMETHING U DO NOT SEE at all any more.

bolts are going for 70-95 dollars. I have the complete rifle and would be willing to part with individual pieces from it

I HAVE A OLD PREMIER .22 BOLT ACTION IT SAY'S PREMIER SINGLE SHOT . SHORT, LONG, LONG RIFLE THAT IS ALL IT SAY'S MINE WAS MADE FROM 1930-1932 HAS TWO PIECE BOLT SO IT WAS MADE BY MOSSBERG AND DISTRIB BY THE TAYLOR FUR COMPANY. THE ONE I HAVE WAS GIVEN TO ME BY A FRIEND'S BROTHER DURING 2011 DEER SEASON I HAVE NEVER SHOT IT SINCE OWNING IT. THE TRIGGER GUARD BACK THEN WAS METAL THE ONE IS PLASTIC ON MINE BEING THE OTHER ONE BROKE YEARS AGO BUT THAT IS THE ONLY THING NOT ORIG ON GUN. THOUGHT ABOUT SHOOTING IT BUT IT MEANS MORE TO ME JUST TO USE AS A SHOW GUN DUE TO HOW OLD IT IS AND EXCELLENT COND FOR THE YEAR. I AM NOT SCARED TO SHOOT IT MY FRIENDS BROTHER SHOT IT BEFORE HE GAVE IT TO ME I JUST WANT TO USE IT AS A SHOW GUN BEING PEOPLE HAVE NEVER SEEN SOMETHING AS OLD AS THAT GUN IS. THIS GUN IS THE OLDEST FIREARMS THAT I OWN PEOPLE THAT HAVE SEEN IT WHEN I TELL THEM THE HISTORY OF GUN SUCH AS MANUFACTURE AND WHO SOLD THEM BACK THEN THEY ARE AMAZED AT THE COND THE GUN IS IN FOR IT'S AGE.
