I have a model 94 Nickel Steel 30 wcf serial number 1054772. It has the flip up rear sight. I bought the gun used in around 1973 and I am curious as it's value. I dont really want to get rid of it, but I am curious as to the year it was manufactured, and it's possible value, depending up the condition I realize.

Guest,

The flip up rear sight, on the barrel, tells me it is most likely a carbine configuartion. If it is mounted on the rear tang it could be either a rifle or carbine. You didn't mention a ring on the left side of the receiver so maybe it isn't a carbine. The rifle configuration was dropped after about another 20,000 were made. Your serial number dates to 1929.

You are correct that condition drives the value determination. So I really need a better handle to be very accurate. Right now I really can't do much better than someplace between $900 and $3000 probably. Pretty wide spread.

Basically I need some clarification and a better description of the condition or a few good photos. Include close ups.

Guitar,

Is the flip up sight on the barrel or the tang?
Is there any checkering on the stock? Does the stock have a pistol grip or is it straight. Does the end of the stock have a crescent shape and a metal plate or is it straight like a shotgun butt?
