hello,,first off who's the manufacture? in order of value these are the manufactures who made m1 garands ww2 ,,winchester and springfeild ,,korea international harvester ,,Harington and richardson, and springfield ,,many m1's were sent overseas to britan, denmark, and greece as part of the lend lease programs ,,also many were sold to china after the wars ended and then they came back via importers in the 80's,,these will be import stamped usually on the barrel or gas cylinder ,,blue sky was one of the import marks commonly found on m1 rifles from china ,,although these are US produced rifles many were extencivly used and many are in poor condition,,there were also m1's rebuild from parts kits by century arms with new cast receivers and these are proably the lowest value examples and would range from 350-450,,..
now if yours is one of the us rifles of the major manufactures most springfields will value between 600-800+ depending on condition,,if made by winchester values would be 800-1200+ depending also on condition,,international harvester rifles bring 850 and up,,and h+r rifles will bring 650-850+,,everything when valueing an m1 rifle depends how correct it is ,,every part on an m1 is marked with either numbers or marks or has special charateristics,,and a good book with part numbers and part identifications is nessasary to determing just how correct yours may be ,,1 i always recommend is joe poyese book on m1 rifles ..available online for around 20 bucks and well worth the investment,,it shows differend variations of parts and part numbers for just about all the versions of the m1's ,,and also a book called the m1 garand data sheets by craig reish,,it gives a breakdown of which parts perticular serial number ranges should have in them ,,both these are a must for anyone contemplating collecting m1 garands ,,corect m1's with original parts will demand big bucks but most rifles out there these days have went thru a rebuild program and many parts were changed with whatever was on hand during the rebuild ,these are still collectable but serious collectors with serious money want correct examples ,,for 250 even if it's a rebuild or a import stamped rifle it's a heck of a good deal,,if it's a century rebuild then you still did good but they were sometimes known to have some issues with function but some worked fine ,,good find for the money!!
