I have a J.Stevens Chicopee Falls,MA USA Pat.Apr.17,94 Ser# 49810 25.RF Lever Action in good condition. Does any know the exact year it was made...I assume it's a .25 cal....and what is it's average value? Thanks!

hello ,,i'm asuming your talking about a stevens favorite rifle ,,there were many variation of this rifle,,with minor differences ,,barrel lenghts calibers and stock configurations sites ..ect.. your serial number is pretty high and i don't think it's a first model as only 1000 were made ,,

,,it's actually not a lever action it's a falling block design ,,when you pull the trigger guard a block drops down to enable loading,,returning the triggerguard to its closed position returns the block and enables the rifle to fire ,,


,,,values for these can be a wide spectrum depending on which model variation it is ,,but again it's hard to tell from a simple description and not being a collector of these models i can only estimate the value based on a general overview of the rifles values listed in my catalogs ,,i'll estimate the value at 250-500 and thats only an estimate and actual value could be higher or lower,, ,,if you post a pic that may help some but they all look basically the same and there were over 1,000,000 sold between 1893-1939,,there are books i beleive on these single shot little rifles which would give you an idea of which model ya have but my price guides only cover a few models
