I have a hopkins&allen arms co. shotgun that i received from my dad from my great great grandfather. It is a single shot shotgun with a 36 inch barrel. The matching numbers are E0768, I was wondering if it had any value.

I have deleted your duplicate post. Multiple posts asking the same question are prohibited by Community Rule No. 5.

Original stocks are occasionally available on ebay, www.gunbroker.com and www.gunauction.com. You may have to resort to buying a junker to salvage the parts.

No one, to my knowledge, is reproducing H & A stocks.

Try <email> for a possible used stock.

Also try these stockmakers: http://www.boydsgunstocks.com

Serial numbers aren't straight across. L 05 18. I need a butt and the forearm piece. Is it worth anything? I'm calling the three companies that you recommended for the butts and stocks.

GATKPR.

Retail value for a gun with a damaged stock and forearm is a parts gun and would range from $25 to $50.

Which model?

Please post detailed pictures of both sides of the receiver area, both sides of the gun and readable, close-ups of ALL markings, including patent dates for identification and evaluation. Please high light all markings with chalk or a white grease pencil for readability.

H&A Single Shot help ...
Guest

For the love of Hopkins & Allen I need some help, please. I acquired this single brl shotgun and need help with what I have. My serial numbers don't match Barrel - D8820 and behind the trigger - I8820. Top of Barrel says "Diadem smokeless steel Choke Bored. Hammer with no safety and break away barrel. Also I have what looks to be a broken part that says Starrett. I will include pictures. I have disassembled to better inspect hence how I found the name Starrett.

Starrett is the name of a precision tool company that makes, among other products, precision measuring tools (i.e. micrometers, scales, etc.).

I know of no direct relationship between Starrett and Hopkins and Allen.

Please post detailed pictures of both sides of the receiver area, both sides of the gun and readable, close-ups of ALL markings, including patent dates for model identification and evaluation. Please high light all markings with chalk or a white grease pencil for enhanced readability.
