I have a colt automatic 32 calibre rimless smokeless pistol with a clip that belonged to my grandfather. The patent dates are Apr 20, 1897 Dec. 22, 1903 and there's the number 289366 on it, which I'm guessing may be the serial number. I'm trying to figure out when it was made and what it is worth. Thanks.

MFG 1910-1926 VALUE DEPENDS ON CONDITION. THEY ARE GETTING QUITE HIGH HERE IN TEXAS. I JUST BOUGHT MY THIRD ONE. TYPE 1V .32 CAL IN 95% AND PAID 800. OTHERS I LOOKED AT WERE MUCH HIGHER, NO BETTER COND. AND AS HIGH AS 1,400.00. GO FIGURE!
