I have a Browning A5 16 gage with a very clearly stamped serial number A13317 on the side of the receiver. Does not have "sweet16" on it, but the serial # would say it is very early. It says Browning Arms Company ST. Louis Mo. on the top of the barrel. Any incite into exactly what I have and date? The gun is in excellent condition.

your serial number is a low one and suggests the yeras of manufacture as 1910-1912 value in good condition would be around 800-1000 in exc condition with good original wood and metal finishes would be 1000-1200,,

On the Browning Website it said that the "A" in front of the serial number meant made in America which would put this in the 1940's but the low serial # is 1910-1912??? Could this be a Belgium?
