I have a 1976 Winchester Model 70 (xtr?) in 7mm mag. I was wondering the current value? It is also in excellent condition.

There a just too many darn variations of this rifle. But they are nearly all valued the same. $25 to $50 differences. Yours is in the $650 range exclusive of scope and slings.

Thanks I appreciate it very much. I tried to talk with winchester about it today and they said they couldn't even find it in the blue book. Not sure what the person was looking at, but I thought they would at least have an idea.

Again thank you I was hoping it was at least that much.

Your '76 Model 70 Winchester(7mm Mag.), is not an XTR. That particular version of the Model 70 wasn't introduced until 1978. That cartridge is awesome, whats it worth? Probably hard to say now that alot of people are using short magnums. I saw a Rem.700 BDL(7mm Mag.),made in the 1980,s in like new condition at Sheels last year(2009),for $349. It wasn't a Winchester 70, however those 700's are descent rifles too. I didnt buy it because I'm an'06 guy, it did sit on the rack for six months or so, I thought "man,if this was 1980 or there abouts this rifle would of been snapped-up alot quicker". Anyways still a great cartridge.
