hello this is a first year winchester 1892 and values for a standard model sporting rifle configuration may be as high as 5000 for insurance purposes ,,in a selling market i'd say somewhere between 1500-2000 depending on the condition ,,finish ,,and in good working condition,,
,,there are different grades of this rifle and prices will be higher with fancier grades and models,,so a hands on apraisal from a qualified antique arms dealer might be a good thing to think about with this one ,,and may pay out in the long run..or give you more of an exact value than from your breif description ,,
