I have a 16 gauge double barrel shotgun made by Riverside Arms Company, the only thing it has on it is the company name and Patented April 20 1915. I was wondering if anyone could tell me approximately when it was made and an estimate of what it may be worth. I would never part with this old gun but would love to know a little about it.

The name "Riverside" was a brand model shotgun made by the J. Stevens Co. They made utility grade double barrel shotguns between 1877 and 1988. They are chambered in 10, 12, 16, and 20ga. and also was available in .410 bore. The guns featured double triggers and models that had a single trigger retain a higher value.

The "Riverside" was available in two versions, the model 215 and 315 and both in "good" condition would have an approximate retail value of $350 to $400.
I have the same gun described above by you, No pheasant was able to escape it, A little too heavy though.
