I have 2 WInchester 30-30 Buffalo Bill Commemorative rifles consecutive serial numbers starting with 103... never been fired, still in the commemorative boxes and still in the UPS box delivered to my dad in 1968. Does anyone have an idea how much these are worth?

Guest,

They should look like the rifle in the photo. Unless they are carbines. Valued around $650 each. There were 112,923 of them made.

Good luck

It is worth about 700 to 1300. Don't sell it.

I have 2 of these rifles as well.... rifles in unfired condition... in original delivery ups box and the fancy boxes... there is a little mouse damage on the boxes, but the rifles are unfired, sequentially numbered, and in excellent shape; and have the pedigree papers

no photos yet... but can take pics if interested

Wrong!!! There was a ton of these guns made, however if it has the gold plated parts instead of nickle then it is worth about $3000.

They can be sold for 1200-1400 dollars depending on the boxes and never shot

Hi, new to this board. I stumbled upon this link while researching the Boffalo Bill 30-30. (edited) It's been under my bed in a box for the last 25+ years. Based on the serial number, it looks like is was made in 1897?

How would one sell a firearm if I chose to? Would I need to go through a dealer?

If you sell it to a resident of your own state, you do not need to go through a dealer (Type-01 FFL) unless you are in Kommiefornia.

If you sell it to a non-resident, it needs to be handled by a dealer.

Take it to a local dealer and ask if he will sell it for you on consignment.

Additionally, consider moving out of the Republic of Kommiefornia. I still can't believe they elected the same guy as Governor (Jerry Brown) again after an 18-year hiatus

Is there a reason you posted the exact same message twice, 44-minutes apart?

You might want to check your home (or office) for things that go "bump in the night"

Ray Ray,

This post is several years old. However, the part about no buying and selling is still valid.

Chuck... why would you ask that question now? You now own it, and it was apparently worth whatever the $$$ that you just paid for it.
