I am selling my P229 Sig Equinox, never fired to a gun shop. I paid $995. How much should I ask for or expect?

well concidering you proably bought it frome a shop don't expect that price ,,even unfired the shop can't sell it as new ,,they will proably say like new ,,because they can't 100% verify your story,,so i'd say they will offer you between 300-500 for it and that price is an estimate useing gunshop theroy,,first off if you bought it from a shop depending how big the shop is and the volume they move for the distributor there price could be about half the listed prics so if you paid 1000 for it there price could have been between 500-750 then they have the markup to compensate for them buying it and having it shipped and then there time doing the paperwork and logging in and out the pistol,,and insta checks time outa there scedual,that brings the price to 1000 usually +tax ..so i'm gonna guess ther gonna offer around mabey 400 cash on it used and mabey 500 or a little more on a trade depending on what your tradeing on,,

,,,if ya get a chance let us know what they offer you ,,i'm just curious,,lol,,the price i gave is what the guy i used to work for would proably offer you,,mabey a little less in cash,,lol,,lol,,

Thank you for that response! I assumed 400-500 bucks so we are on the same page. I am taking it over there today. Its in flawless condition so I hope to get $500. I do think its unfair but understand they need to make money. i will let you know...mucho appreciated!

you should look at www.gunvalues.com to make sure i would ask 750-800

dealers are lousy with buying back their merchandise or others maybe 50% of what you paid orginaly send me pic. i'll have a look at her
