would you happen to know anything about a Husqvarna Vapenfabriks AB 30-06? The sn:290772 and it has a leupold scope sn: 91668.

Sorry, i just dont know how/where to look for the year it was made and what it's value would be for H.O. insurance.

your help is very much appreciated!

Husqvarna is one of the best kept secrets in quality rifles. The Swedish gun-maker has made a large variety of rifles, and most of the ones I have had experience with were most accurate. You can see & feel the quailty when examining a Husq.

In 1968, they made several rifles under the Smith & Wesson name. They were simply known as the Models A,B,C,D, and E. Most beautiful pieces and very accurate guns. I bought a Model A 41 years ago and am still hunting with it. Of all the many rifles I own, it is my favorite and the one I depend own when I walk out the door to go hunt.......anything.

Depending on condition, I'm saying your rifle would be worth $350 to $500, unless of course it has something really unique about that particular model.

In 1968 I understood Husqvarna vapenfabriks consigned 750 rifles to be made for S&W & I have the Model C with a leupold 3x9 & Redfield mounts. Does the double stamping help the collector price?

hi fred ,,as ernie stated they were good rifles but smith and wesson was never reconized for there other guns,,the double stamping doesn't increase the value and for a C model the book value is 275 vg-425 ex..someday they may reach there true value but as of todays market they are still an affordable hunting rifle ,,as for you scope ..most dealers don't pay a preimum for scopes no matter who made it and will most all the time take it off and sell it seperatly,,but a used leo scope with redfield mounts and rings will be worth 200-250 alone so as a package deal on auction or a private sale proably in the 400-600 range for the package..

I actually found a nice one here in BC.
Just for fun, where are you located, and what would you like for it?
I really want a 25-06 for my next one though .
