Can anyone tell me what the 'Royal Steed' means on our inherited Hunter Arms/L.C. Smith double-barrel, double-trigger, double-hammer twelve gauge, and/or an approximate value? Appreciate it.

The barrels are made of steel rather than Damascus. This means the barrels will handle modern shotshells. This is only if the weapon has been found to be in operable condition by a qualified gunsmith.
