hello,,it is possible to mount a scope on a spanish mauser ,,there are two ways of doing this ,,have a gunsmith drill and tap the receiver for bases or there may be a no drill mount availabe from b-square,,this no drill mount will mount to the rear site and you would need a long eye releif scope ,,i know ther make the mount for md 98's as well as many military bolt actions but i'm not sure about the spanish ,,they have a web sit where ya could find out,,just search "b-square scope mounts" and you should find them..there not real expencive and you won't ruin the collectability of the spanish mauser ,,a gunsmith may charge you around 60 bucks to drill and tap the receiver but then you could use weaver mounts and rings and a standard eye releif scope ,,overall cost would proably be about the same ,,mabey a little cheaper with the no drill mount..
