I have been told i have a unique rifle by one of my buddies he says he knows several people that will give me 3500.00 for it. Is there someone that can verify the rifle is worth that or possibly more it is a remington model 700 30-06 synthetic sprgrifle is in perfect condition only fired about 20 times never been in the woods only fired on a range with simmons scope all black.
i think your buddies might be pulling your leg unless there's something special about your remington you're not telling. check out these remington rifles.
Never, ever, listen to your buddy again, as next he will tell you your Honda civic is worth more than a quarter of a million, or even 2.5 million. His sense of humor is insulting.
Remington 700s have been made for a very long time
The stock may or may not be original
The barrel could be anything from Sporter to Target weight
Simmons covers a great deal of ground as well, if it's included, as you need to specify which Simmons...
And has the rifle had 20 shots through it, or been out to the range 20 times?
Range use or hunting use, it's the previous owners care for his firearm that makes a difference
Barrels can be destroyed quite quickly through fast shooting, bad cleaning, and bad hand-loads.
Assuming the rifle is completely sound, and performing well, probably no less than $350 to $400.
Please do remember that you can buy a good new rifle for under $500. With Warranty, and no chance of being misused.
You can pick up a very good condition US made hunting rifle, second hand, for as little as $200, book value.
People who buy an unseen used firearm, from an unknown source that has no reputation, should only assume they have something to hang on a wall.
Always have a reputable source inspect and evaluate firearm condition
Never sell an unsound fire arm to anyone other than a gunsmith, or someone who knows a lot more than you. There are a number of faults that can be deadly, just like selling a car with no brakes, stretched or damaged/cracked action, bad headspace, for instance. (these are not visible to a cursory inspection)
Never use someone's hand-loads who is not an expert hand loader.
It's only worth 475 to 525 you got lied to.guess you don't know your guns
