hello,,this site will show you when it was made ,, https://store.bluebookinc.com/info/PDF/Firearm/ Serialize.pdf then just do a search online of winchester model 70 and there should be more info than ya want to read on the model 70's ,,theres alot of collectors out there and i'm sure you will find alot of info on them,,
