hello,,i can't say from experience on this one but from the information i've gathered the tactical compact's barrel lenght is shorter and the tactical model has a threaded barrel,,also mag capacity is 10 for the tactical and only 8 for the tac compact,,and from what i'm reading the tactical model was made in limited production numbers..they both seem to be valued in the same price range and either model would make a fine choice..from what i've read if it was me i might swing toward the tactical model just because of the limited production figures,,but that depends on the reason your buying it ,,to keep as an investment of to use for personal reasons ,,and if it's a cc pistol or a home protection or range gun..for cc pistol i might swing back to the shorter lighter compact tactical model just because it is more compact and may be better suited as a carry handgun..just my 2 cents worth!!

There is a major difference in size. Ive owned both of them, currently have a USP CT 45. The CT has a single stack mag and much slimmer grip, besides being shorter overall. I have smaller hands and find it much more comfortable than the full size USP tactical. They are both good shooting weapons though, the full size tactical would be pretty bulky if you were to want to carry it.
