Herters Single Action .357 mag 6.5" barrel looks like brand new.

Hey Gang, anybody got the dope on a Herters 357 s/a, 6.5"? This big sucker is cherry and shoots great! I had never even heard of Herters before. Can anyone give me a little background and value? This is a very interesting gun and id like to know more. Thanks!

The gun was manufactured in the 60 I had one i bought from Herters they were an outfiter. I paid $57.00 new.Mine was stolen. J P Sauer of germany made the revolver. the grips are to narrow at the top and with 357 ammo your hand slides up and can slam into the hammer. DO you want to sell?

Yeah, I didnt like the grip frame shape at all,tho I shot it quite a bit and never had that occur to me. Big ol frame and barrel soaked up 357s kick considerably. Mine was pretty accurate, too. Someone else told me they were made by sauer, too. Sold it couple of weeks ago for $300! Thot that was pretty good. Wish Id have had two of them. Sorry. Nice name too, by the way.
