I have a 30.06 rifle and am required to register it. I have no idea what make or model the rifle is and could use some help identifying it.

It is a bolt action 30.06 with a number C5929 that I believe to be the serial number located on the chamber of the rifle. I was told that the rifle may be a mauser? I would post a picture but do not know if they are allowed on this site.
