It has a receiver patent date of "March 16, 1875." It is a 12ga side by side with hammers. On one side the receiver is engraved with waterfowl, the other side has quail. The barrel is stamper "Parker Bros damascus steel Meridan, CT". the ares between the hammers has a emblem that looks like a shield. The trigger guard is engraves and the barrell has a weave pattern engraving it's whole length. The serial number is 23xxx. I will attach pics probably next week. Can anyone tell me anthing about this gun? Thank you

That sounds like a nice Parker. Need a few more details:underleaver?,barrel length, bore condition, stock type(st,ball,PG) condition.
Some good sharp pictures would help, epeially of the receiver and floor plate. I collect and shoot Parker hammerguns.
