Have old model Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 mag..value given as $600-after doing some research I found that a free safety feature can be put on by Ruger. Is the old model more valuable without this work done to it or not? If it's worth more without, what is the value?
Yes it is worth about $100 more. But you have to understand that to get retail price you have to sell to another collector...not a shop or a gun show dealer.
I was offered a like new Old model at the last Tulsa show for 600 and I turned it down. And it had the original box and papers. We all want bargains now before we let lose of real cash
In this economy you will be lucky to sell it for $400 - again, unless you advertise to a collector audience at gun broker.com or gun digest.
Keep it until we have better time
Thanks for the quick reply. I have a potential buyer for it right now at $600, so if I get it I'm not going to worry about the extra value.
