I recently inherited a Marlin 1887 .22lr lever action and a Savage 99 .22HP lever action. Both were manufactured prior to 1915 and would be considered collectors items. I was wondering if anybody had any clue to about how much they might be worth or if anyone is interested in purchasing. Both guns are in excellent condition inside and out.

Hi Nolte,
Found you estimation page for the savage
you can check the items to see which one is closest to your savage for price estimate.
The Marlin is a little more complicated as the price estimate can very greatly due to reasons that mainly collectors understand. In order to answer your question better take it for appraisal to a marlin collectors or a gunsmith (serious one) the right estimate can mean hundreds of dollars price difference

My bad!
I forgot the link sorry
I meant to attach this link http://www.gunsinternational.com/results.cfm?cid=279
you can see there are significant price differences in the savage 99 category and for the Marlin it is even more so as some items can get really high prices and the others much less. The reasons are usually meaningful only to the collectors
