My Rotary Club will be having an auction to raise money for our charitable foundation. Several guns have been donated and I have no way of knowing what they are worth. How can I get a fairly good estimate of their value.

The 45 cal. long Colt single action revolver is easy. The original patent is dated 1871, but the pistol was manufactured in 1975. We sold an Italian manufactured replica last year for $450.00. This has to be worth at least $475.00 considering conditon and the western belt and holster.

We have two 22 LR semi-automatic target pistols with multi shot clips. "High Standard Mfg. Corp." New Haven, Conn. One "Supermatic" with lightening bolts where the quoatation marks appear here. Heavy barrel and weighted for balance. Serial number 380236

The second 22 cal automatic is manufactured by same as above. Engraved in cursive "Lightweight"
SPORT-KING HI-STANDARD
High Standard Mfg. Corp.
Hamden, Conn. U.S.A. 22LR SK-100
Serial # 1090399

Any ideas about value?

Usually the sales of guns go through a dealer so unless you plan to sell them privately you'll have to ask at the near arms place.

If you do wish to sell them privately I'll try to find out places to get the market value.
